Artist Statement My current work describes pedestrian walks around infrastructures built to support vehicles. Imposing monolithic-like environments of asphalt and concrete, of fuel tank farms, carparks, edge lands, and motorways. Without official architectural value, these structures represent daily activities, perhaps facing future alteration or demolition.

Artist Bio As a former graffiti artist, O’Reilly’s early subjects were areas he painted graffiti in, including the railway and abandoned sites. His work continues to consider the urban landscape, presenting oil paintings of banal, industrial, and marginal exterior spaces in muted palettes. O’Reilly’s practice has recently expanded into 3D digital media. Recent awards include an Arts Council Visual Arts Bursary and Dublin Port/Axis Ballymun Pumphouse Bursary.
